LEÍRÁS / DESCROPTION

Through experimental interfaces and interactive installations, the exhibition focuses on the interplay of light, sound, music, and the qualities of textiles. The displayed artworks aim to expand the boundaries of human perception or make everyday life easier. Thanks to innovative thinking, it becomes possible for brainwaves recorded while listening to music to be visualized in woven structures using optical fibers. The raw materiality of sound can be explored through textiles placed in a new context, or human interaction can be visually represented in real time on clothing.

Location: ÚjMűhely Gallery – Szentendre, Fő tér 20.
Curator: Eszter Söptei, textile designer
Exhibiting artists: Judit Gimes, Zsanett Hegedűs, EJTECH, Zsófia Lévai, Zsófia Kormos, Eszter Polyák, Anikó Varga

The exhibition showcases the innovative works of Hungarian fashion and textile designers working at the intersection of textiles and technology. The featured artists are interested in the interaction between humans and technology.

“Eszter Polyák’s Spiked Mask, similar to the work of EJ Tech, uses materials as an interface mediating between the digital and physical worlds, while her work Light Cord Trim raises the question of reintegrating high-tech material innovation into traditional textile culture—in the most literal sense.”
